This BenQ HT1075 DLP Projector was sent in by a viewer who was having unusual overheating issues. He was able to clean it but upon re-assembly he was not getting light. After sending it to me, I found that the Colorwheel wire had cracked at the connector, preventing connection. There was also a miss-connection between the DMD board and the Mainboard.
In this video, I repair the color wheel cable and get the projector back up and running. While testing for a long period, I found the projector is overheating after 1-2 hours. There will be a second video about diagnosing and repair for this overheating issue. Once posted, it will be linked here.
