The Optoma UHD35’s core components perform at significantly higher levels than a typical projector when used as a gaming projector. The projector’s high refresh rate, short input lag, and superior contrast capacity are a few key distinctions. By utilizing this level of performance, a gamer can distinguish between objects at extreme brightness levels or avoid being killed by other players. High-end gaming computers and consoles perform better with specific projectors, such as the UHD35. The ability to display a more excellent dynamic range of colors, higher resolution, and significantly faster refresh rates are the reasons for this improved performance.
Another important factor is sound quality, and I will show you how the UHD35 performs on each of those fronts in this review. Simply put, gaming projectors offer performance previously only possible by owning a high-performance gaming display, going beyond merely providing a bigger and better television screen.
It performed noticeably better than our early production sample of the BenQ HT2550, according to BenQ TK800. Since then, we’ve tested a newer HT2550 sample with updated firmware and a better lens that is now present on both models. Compared to the second HT2550 test sample, the TK800 performs similarly on some performance issues while outperforming others. For instance, both sharply focus from edge to edge across the entire screen. As a result of manufacturing variance, the TK800’s measured brightness uniformity is better than that of either of the HT2550 test units. However, as was already mentioned, these differences were not noticeable when viewing objects daily. Both have a similar color balance in their factory default calibrations. Both deliver a close match compared to a reference image. Still, because they differ slightly in different ways, neither is remarkably similar to the other. The TK800 has a more accurate color balance when Brilliant Color is enabled. The HT2550 provides a better color balance than the TK800 and closely matches the reference image when Brilliant Color is disabled. One final benefit of the TK800 is that it is a brighter projector, and this increased brightness does not significantly degrade color saturation. We are equally excited about both units after testing the second HT2550 unit. For a room with natural light, we’d rank the TK800 higher on our short list; for a room with little to no light, we’d rate the HT2550 higher. The BenQ TK800 costs $1499 and offers 4K resolution, a bright picture, excellent uniformity, 3D support, and a three-year warranty.

There is only one way to turn on and off a projector, change its volume, change the input source, also control the USB media player with voice commands. It would help if you still operated the projector’s controls or the remote for all other settings. Orders to alter the Display Mode, FI setting, and color mode are sorely lacking but will be added soon, according to the promise.
The Optoma UHD51A’s standout feature is its exclusive (at the time) support for Alexa, but that isn’t the best justification for purchasing it. The projector can only be turned on and off, only the volume can be changed, the input source cannot be changed, and the USB media player cannot be controlled with voice commands.
